Clement has 10+ years of investing experience and has participated in deals from multiple perspectives (Investment Banking, Private Equity, and Advisory).
Since joining Relay ~4 years ago, Clement has partnered with 40+ searchers and closed 21 transactions. He guides searchers throughout their lifecycle, providing mentorship during the sourcing phase, and assisting with operations analysis, business modeling, and overall due diligence post-LOI. He also supports new operators post-acquisition, and currently sits as a Director for 6 portfolio companies.
Before joining Relay, Clement was a Management Consultant at Roland Berger in Boston. He focused his time on leading Commercial Due Diligence projects for his clients and helping them achieve their strategic objectives through complex M&A or organic growth initiatives. Clement also worked at Nexus Group, a leading private equity fund in Latin America. He participated in and conducted due diligence in multiple industries and held key operating roles (Head of FP&A and CFO) in portfolio companies.
In his free time, Clement loves spending time with his lifelong partner, Diana, and tries to be the best possible dad to his children, Emilia and Noah. Clement also enjoys watching the NBA (Let's Go, Celtics!), playing soccer, and spending time outdoors. He is an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction; two of his favorite books are "The Kindly Ones" and "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People".
Clement holds an MBA from MIT Sloan and an MS in Management from ESCP in France. He speaks fluent French and Spanish.
