Ivan has nearly 20 years of investment experience across public markets, venture capital, and search funds, and played a key role in launching and building Relay Investments Europe.
Before joining Relay, Ivan was an early investor in the ETA ecosystem across Spain and Latin America, backing more than 40 search teams and investing in over 26 search fund acquisitions. At Relay, he partners closely with entrepreneurs throughout their journey, supporting fundraising, search, acquisitions, financing, governance, and post-acquisition value creation.
Previously, Ivan co-founded and co-led a fintech company operating across Europe and Latin America, and he is an active angel investor in more than 35 technology startups. He spent the first 14 years of his career at J.P. Morgan as an Executive Director in Wealth Management, advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals and single-family offices on investment strategy, portfolio construction, and private market opportunities.
In his free time, Ivan enjoys surfing, sailing, skiing, trail running, traveling, and almost any outdoor adventure. He lives in Geneva, Switzerland.
Ivan holds a BSc in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Deusto. He speaks fluent English, Spanish, French, and Italian.
